Akiko Ashizawa, JSC is a legend in Japanese cinema. With more than 70 feature film credits, she worked with director Kiyoshi Kurosawa on Tokyo Sonata (Jury Prize at Un Certain Regard, Cannes 2008; director Kôji Fukada's Sayônara (2015) and The Man From the Sea (_2018).__Akiko Ashizawa, JSC will be the recipient of the 2026 Pierre Angénieux lifetime achievement award at the 79th Cannes Film Festival on May 22, 2026 in the Buñuel Theatre of the Palais des Festivals._We met at NAC Image Technology in Tokyo on April 30. read more...
