"textContent": "Capcom announced that the PC versions of _Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 Nemesis_ , and _Breath of Fire IV_ are now all available to buy via Steam, however all four games do feature DRM and require EULA consent. Previously, these games first appeared DRM-free on GOG. The _Breath of Fire_ entry in particular was a GOG Dreamlist title.\n\nEach of the three _Resident Evil_ games and _Breath of Fire IV_ use The Enigma Protector DRM for the Steam versions. All of the titles are the ones released as part of the GOG Preservation Program. As such, GOG is listed as a developer alongside Capcom on the Steam product pages. As such, the standard pricing is the same on both platforms.\n\nHowever, there is a launch sale in effect for these new storefront releases of _Resident Evil_ and _Breath of Fire IV_ that isn’t mirrored on GOG. All of the games are temporarily 50% off. So instead of being $9.99, they are all $4.99 each. That sale ends on April 15, 2026.\n\nThe GOG Preservation versions of _Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis,_ and _Breath of Fire IV_ are all now available on PCs via both GOG and Steam, though on Steam Enigma DRM is present.\n\nThe post First 3 Resident Evil Games and Breath of Fire IV Head to Steam With DRM appeared first on Siliconera.",
