  "textContent": "Kotobukiya announced that its next piece of Godzilla merchandise will be a tape dispenser based on _Shin Godzilla_movie version of the kaiju. It will cost 4,400円 when it launches in July 2026 in Japan, and the official Japanese store already sold out. It isn’t showing up in the US official or Amazon storefronts yet.\n\nThis Godzilla accessory is about eight inches long (~200mm), but Kotobukiya didn’t note how tall it is. It features the kaiju’s head and part of its back, with the back and spines going over the back of the roll of tape. The tape itself can be fed through the mouth, which can then be used to cut it. There is a stand shown, and the description noted the lower jaw and fins can be removed. Cloth, craft, and OPP plastic tape up to almost two inches wide (50mm) can be used with it. However, the listing doesn’t mention duct tape support.\n\nHere’s a closer look at the _Shin Godzilla_ tape dispenser.
