  "textContent": "On February 23, 2026, at the _Evangelion:30+ _event happening in Yokohama Arena, Studio Khara announced a new _Evangelion_ anime from it and CloverWorks with Yoko Taro involved. It will also Keiichi Okabe, who worked on the _Drakengard, NieR,_ and _Voice of Cards_ series, as a composer. There’s no date for when this new series could appear.\n\nYoko Taro will be working on the story and script for this new _Evangelion_ anime project. It will be his first time working on the series. He has worked on anime series before, as he was involved with both the _NieR: Automata_ adaptation and _KamiErabi God.app_. Prior to this, some of his most recent works involved the _Voice of Cards_ trilogy and _404 Game Re:set_. Okabe also worked on the soundtrack for the _NieR: Automata_ anime as well.\n\nThe last _Evangelion_ anime adaptation was the fourth movie in the _Rebuild_ series, _3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time_. That came out in 2021 worldwide. It wrapped up the alternate take on events of the series and offered an entirely new ending compared to previous adaptations. Kazuya Tsurumaki, who directed all four of those films alongside Hideaki Anno, will return to direct this new series.\n\nThe new _Evangelion_ anime series is in development.
