"textContent": "It’s the end of the year. Two weeks left.\n\nYou did it. Congratulations. Here’s to 2022 🍾.\n\nOver here, business is winding down. My project book for the year is closed. I’m sweeping up metaphorical (and literal) leaves, cleaning up some loose ends, closing my financial books, and getting set up for a successful 2023.\n\nI like to use these last few weeks of the year for rest, holiday celebrations with friends and family, and getting a few high-impact ‘work on business’ tasks accomplished.\n\nI try and use the end of the year as a focusing constraint. “What are one or two things I can get done that will make the new year easier for Future Kai?”\n\nFrom experience, I’ve learned that you get the highest impact out of this end-of-the-year time by focusing on just a few (one or two, maybe three) high-impact, smaller-scope things.\n\nDon’t write a new marketing plan. Instead, review your 2022 marketing plan and note what went well, what didn’t, and what you’ll do differently next time.\nDon’t launch a new site. Instead, rewrite your current homepage and update titles and headlines on a few key pages.\nDon’t write a bunch of new content. Instead, identify your most popular ~5-10 emails from the past year, set them up as a sequence in your email software, and automatically send them to new subscribers.\n\nYou get the picture.\n\nInstead of building something new, focus on the small + impactful things you can get done with what you already have.\n\nDon’t over-stretch and try to get too much done in too little time. The last two years aren’t a time to finish off all those dusty ‘work on the business’ projects you’ve started and collected over the year.\n\nBetter to plan on doing just a few things and being satisfied with what you get done.\n\nBy the way, if you’re considering working with a marketing and growth coach in the new year, I’d love to work with you.\n\nI have three spots available in the new year for my 1-on-1 marketing and growth coaching: /services/coaching/.\n\nThe investment for 1-on-1 growth coaching is currently $1,500/month. It’s increasing to $2,000/month in the new year.\n\nIf you apply to work together before the start of 2023, you’ll lock in the $1,500/month rate for all of 2023.\n\nRead more about what’s included with 1-on-1 coaching here: /services/coaching/.\n\nExcelsior!\n\nKai",
