"textContent": "LAHORE: The United States marked its 250th Independence Day with a special ceremony at the Lahore Fort, where the US Consul General credited Pakistan for its role in promoting the US-Iran peace process and highlighted growing bilateral ties.\n\nSenior Punjab Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and the US Consul General attended the event.\n\nAddressing the ceremony, the US Consul General thanked the Punjab government for hosting the Independence Day celebrations and said Pakistan-US relations were moving forward positively.\n\nHe credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their efforts in promoting peace, including Pakistan's role in supporting the US-Iran peace process.\n\nThe US Consul General said Pakistan and the United States would continue working together to promote education.\n\nSpeaking on the occasion, Maryam Aurangzeb said it was an honour to participate in the US Independence Day celebrations.
