"textContent": "JHELUM: Over 600 citizens received free land allotment letters under the “Apni Zameen Apna Ghar” programme in Jhelum.\n\nState Minister Bilal Azhar Kiani distributed allotment letters to more than 400 allottees during a ceremony.\n\nHe said that under the initiative of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, applications of 730 residents of Jhelum for 3-marla plots have been approved.\n\nBilal Azhar Kiani said that the housing initiative reflects the commitment to provide shelter to citizens, adding that housing is a basic need and the government has fulfilled its promise.\n\nHe said that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has already provided housing to thousands of families in Punjab, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched a subsidised housing loan scheme at the federal level.\n\nHe said that loans of up to Rs1 million are being provided through banks at a minimum 5 per cent interest rate.\n\nThe minister added that a total of 5,942 applications were received through an online portal in Jhelum, of which 4,303 applicants were declared eligible after NADRA verification.\n\nHe said that 730 applicants were declared successful through a transparent computerised draw, while over 600 deserving citizens, including elderly persons, women and special persons, have already received allotment letters.\n\nHe added that allottees can also obtain interest-free loans of up to Rs1.5 million from the Bank of Punjab for construction purposes.\n\nThe post Jhelum residents get free land allotments under Apni Zameen Apna Ghar scheme appeared first on HUM News English.",
