"textContent": "WEB DESK: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with the Acting Governor of the Makkah Region, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening historic and brotherly ties with Saudi Arabia.\n\nThe Governor of Jeddah, Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, the Governor of Taif, Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud, and other members of the Saudi royal family were also present.\n\nNaqvi expressed gratitude to the Acting Governor for the 'excellent' arrangements made for Pakistani Umrah and Hajj pilgrims. The Saudi side reiterated the Kingdom’s strong commitment to its relations with Pakistan and pledged full cooperation.\n\n#### Cricket stadium and security pact advance bilateral agenda\n\nMishaal bin Abdulaziz welcomed the agreement between the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation, and expressed full support for the construction of the first international-standard cricket stadium in Jeddah.\n\nSeparately, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday in Riyadh to expand cooperation in the security sector. The agreement was signed by Naqvi and Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif.\n\nThe MoU establishes a framework for collaboration between the two interior ministries in scientific, training, and research fields, including the exchange of expertise, joint initiatives, and strengthening of institutional capacities. Prior to the signing, the ministers held talks on bilateral security cooperation and coordination mechanisms.\n\nPakistan and Saudi Arabia already maintain close cooperation across security, trade, and investment sectors.
