"textContent": "WEB DESK: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding to expand cooperation between the two countries in the security sector, according to an official statement.\n\nThe agreement was signed in Riyadh by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif.\n\nThe MoU establishes a framework for cooperation between Pakistan's Ministry of Interior and Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior in scientific, training and research fields.\n\n#### Agreement covers training, research and exchange of expertise\n\nUnder the agreement, the two ministries will work together to promote the exchange of expertise and strengthen institutional capacities in areas of mutual interest. The MoU is also intended to facilitate cooperation through joint initiatives and the sharing of knowledge between relevant institutions.\n\nPrior to the signing ceremony, Naqvi held talks with Prince Abdulaziz on bilateral security cooperation and matters related to coordination between the two interior ministries.\n\nAccording to the _Radio Pakistan,_ the two ministers reviewed relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation on security issues.\n\nThey also exchanged views on mechanisms for improving coordination between their respective ministers and discussed matters of mutual interest.\n\nPakistan and Saudi Arabia maintain cooperation in a range of sectors, including security, trade and investment.
