"textContent": "WEB DESK: Pakistan has facilitated the repatriation of 30 Iranian nationals through what Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar described as “sincere humanitarian efforts”, with arrangements in place for their onward travel via Karachi in the coming days.\n\nHe said the development reflects Pakistan’s continued commitment to humanitarian principles and regional cooperation in maritime emergencies.\n\n#### Eight fishermen rescued after vessel drift\n\nThe foreign minister said eight Iranian fishermen were among those being repatriated after their boat drifted off course in open waters and they were subsequently rescued by a British vessel.\n\nHe identified the vessel involved in the rescue as _MMA Valour_ , noting that the fishermen were later processed through relevant channels to ensure their safe return.\n\nOfficials added that the individuals were provided necessary assistance following their rescue, in line with standard maritime humanitarian protocols.\n\n#### 22 crew members of Lenore to return via Karachi\n\nIshaq Dar further stated that 22 Iranian crew members of the vessel _Lenore_ are also part of the repatriation process.\n\nHe said the crew had earlier been taken into custody by authorities in the United States in regional waters before arrangements were finalised for their repatriation through Pakistan.\n\nAccording to him, the group will transit through Karachi before proceeding to Iran. He added that relevant local authorities in Karachi have completed logistical arrangements for their reception, including consular facilitation and basic medical screening prior to their onward journey.\n\nThe foreign minister reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to extending humanitarian assistance to those in distress at sea, irrespective of nationality, and will continue to play its role in supporting coordinated regional responses to maritime incidents.\n\nThe post Pakistan facilitates repatriation of 30 Iranian nationals, Dar says appeared first on HUM News English.",
