"textContent": "ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will meet US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during his visit to the United States, the Foreign Office said on Thursday.\n\nAccording to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the meeting will focus on bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest. The two sides will also discuss diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting regional peace and stability.\n\nThe spokesperson said Dar’s visit reflects Pakistan’s commitment to further deepening its longstanding partnership with Washington.\n\nSeparately, Dar said May holds special significance in Pakistan’s history, noting that it was during this month that the country demonstrated national resolve and declared itself a nuclear power.\n\nSpeaking on Thursday, he said Pakistan’s nuclear capability gave the country a place among nations that play a role in global security decisions. He also said Pakistan had firmly responded to Indian aggression during what he described as the “Marka-e-Haq” a year ago.\n\nDar said Pakistan was actively playing a constructive role for regional and global peace. He added that the country had immense potential and a bright future, while stressing the need to increase exports to generate foreign exchange and strengthen the economy.\n\nThe visit comes as Pakistan continues diplomatic engagements with key international partners on regional security, economic cooperation and broader strategic ties.\n\nThe post Ishaq Dar to meet Marco Rubio, discuss bilateral ties and regional peace appeared first on HUM News English.",
