  "textContent": "Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari extended Eidul Azha greetings to the people of Pakistan, overseas Pakistanis and the Muslim Ummah, urging citizens to embrace the true spirit of sacrifice, compassion and social responsibility.\n\nIn his message on Eidul Azha, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that sacrificing one’s life, desires and personal interests for a higher cause represents the highest expression of faith. He said the spirit of sacrifice teaches humanity empathy, responsibility and care for others.\n\nThe prime minister said Eidul Azha is not merely a religious occasion, but a reminder of the values of selflessness, patience and devotion. He said the day calls on people to look beyond themselves and extend support to those in need, particularly the poor, vulnerable and deserving segments of society.\n\n### PM pays tribute to martyrs\n\nPrime Minister Shehbaz also paid tribute to the sacrifices rendered by the country’s martyrs in defence of Pakistan and in the fight against terrorism. He said the sacrifices of the martyrs are a source of national pride and would always be remembered with deep respect.\n\nThe prime minister also expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said Pakistan stands with those facing injustice and hardship, and prayed that Allah Almighty bless everyone with the true blessings of Eidul Azha.\n\n### President calls for inclusion, empathy\n\nSeparately, President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated the Pakistani nation and overseas Pakistanis on Eidul Azha, saying the occasion reminds Muslims of obedience to Allah, patience, loyalty, sincerity and sacrifice.\n\nThe president said the real demand of sacrifice is to create space in one’s heart for others. He said the joy of Eid remains incomplete unless the helpless, the poor and those who preserve their dignity despite hardship are also included in the celebrations.\n\nPresident Zardari urged citizens to especially remember those who do not openly express their difficulties and silently endure hardship. He said every individual is a source of hope for the country, and even one act of goodwill can help build a better society.\n\nHe also called for promoting civility in behaviour, justice in society and loyalty to the homeland, stressing that Eidul Azha should inspire people to strengthen bonds of kindness, unity and responsibility.\n\n### Armed forces extend Eid greetings\n\nField Marshal Syed Asim Munir extended Eidul Azha greetings to the nation, according to the ISPR. The air chief and naval chief also felicitated the people of Pakistan on the occasion. In its message, the ISPR said Eidul Azha is a symbol of sacrifice, faith and unity. The armed forces paid tribute to the martyrs, law enforcement agencies and citizens, saying the nation’s sacrifices and resilience remain a strong symbol of Pakistan’s defence.
