  "textContent": "LONDON: Former Huddersfield Town boss Lee Grant was appointed as new head coach for the Walsall football club, the club reported on Thursday.\n\nThe contract of the former Saddlers striker Darren Byfield with club which was meant till March came to an end earlier, leaving the lead position to Lee Grant today.\n\nThe Walsall club finished the League Two season in 13th place, 13 points outside the play-offs, having been top of the table at Christmas.\n\nIn an interview with media, the newly selected coach said \"I'm super delighted and proud to be the new head coach.\"\n\nEarlier he was sacked by the Terriers in January after eight months in charge.\n\n\"The teams I've been involved in have scored lots of goals and there's been a good development of players and my ideas around that are strong.”\n\nHe also added that, “It's going to be a busy period for myself and the club but I'm really excited to get going, help the football club progress and I very much look forward to getting to work.\"\n\nThe post Lee Grant appointed as head coach for Walsall appeared first on HUM News English.",
