"textContent": "After years of rumours and cast teases, _Grown Ups 3_ is officially happening.\n\nNetflix has confirmed that a third instalment in the comedy franchise is now in development, marking the first official acknowledgement of the long-speculated sequel.\n\nAdam Sandler is set to return, with the actor also co-writing the screenplay alongside longtime collaborator Tim Herlihy.\n\nHowever, Netflix is still keeping one major detail under wraps: who exactly will return for the reunion.\n\nWhile fans are already hoping to see Chris Rock, David Spade, Kevin James and Rob Schneider back alongside Sandler, the streamer has yet to officially confirm casting.\n\nThe film will be directed by Kyle Newacheck, who previously worked with Sandler on Netflix projects including _Murder Mystery_ and _Happy Gilmore 2_.\n\nThe original _Grown Ups_ , released in 2010, followed a group of childhood friends reconnecting with their families during a Fourth of July getaway. The comedy became a major box office success, earning more than $270 million worldwide.\n\nIts 2013 follow-up, _Grown Ups 2_ , also performed strongly, bringing in nearly $250 million globally and cementing the franchise as one of Sandler’s most commercially successful comedy series.\n\nBeyond Sandler and the core cast, the films also featured stars including Salma Hayek, Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello, Steve Buscemi and Colin Quinn.\n\nThe new project marks another chapter in Sandler’s long-running partnership with Netflix, which has produced hits including _Leo_ , _Hubie Halloween_ , _Murder Mystery_ and legacy follow-ups such as _Happy Gilmore 2_.\n\nFor now, Netflix is keeping most details under wraps, but for longtime fans of the franchise, one thing is finally clear: the _Grown Ups_ gang may be heading back for another reunion.\n\nThe post ‘Grown Ups 3’ is finally happening, but fans have one big question appeared first on HUM News English.",
