ISLAMABAD: US Charge d’Affaires Natalie Baker met Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Monday, as both sides discussed the evolving regional situation and the broader Pakistan–US bilateral relationship.
During the meeting, DPM Ishaq Dar discussed the efforts of Pakistan in facilitating communication between both United States and Iran, who are in war from past two months.
Ishaq Dar expressed hope that ongoing diplomatic initiatives would help promote peace and stability not only in the region but beyond.
The foreign minister also appreciated US assistance in the repatriation of Pakistani and Iranian seafarers via Singapore, terming it a positive example of humanitarian cooperation between the two sides.
