"textContent": "ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar discussed the evolving regional situation and efforts for peace in separate engagements with Iran and Norway, the foreign office said on Monday.\n\nDar spoke by telephone with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi late on Sunday, with the two leaders exchanging views on the latest regional developments and Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to promote peace and stability.\n\nAccording to a foreign office statement, Araqchi appreciated Pakistan’s “constructive role” and “sincere mediation efforts” amid ongoing tensions.\n\nDar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to fostering constructive engagement in the region, saying dialogue and diplomacy remained the only viable path to resolving disputes and ensuring lasting peace and stability.\n\nSeparately, Dar met Norway’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad, where both sides discussed the evolving regional situation.\n\nDar highlighted Pakistan’s continued efforts to promote dialogue and engagement for peace within the region and beyond, while Kravik reaffirmed Norway’s support for Pakistan’s constructive role in seeking a peaceful and durable resolution to conflicts.\n\nThe two sides also explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation across sectors of mutual interest.\n\nKravik extended an invitation from Norway’s foreign minister for Dar to attend the Oslo Forum next month, which Dar welcomed.
