"textContent": "ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday assured European Union investors of Pakistan’s continued economic stability and the government’s commitment to sustaining reforms during a meeting with a high-level EU business delegation at the Prime Minister’s House.\n\nThe delegation, comprising senior officials of the European Union and representatives of leading European companies, is currently visiting Pakistan to participate in the EU-Pakistan Business Forum. It was led by Peteris Ustubs, Director for Asia Pacific at the European Commission’s Directorate General of International Partnerships, and included officials from the European Investment Bank as well as executives from major European firms.\n\nWelcoming the delegation, the prime minister appreciated their participation in the forum and reiterated that the European Union remains Pakistan’s largest trading partner and a key destination for its exports.\n\nHe expressed optimism that the EU-Pakistan Business Forum would help further strengthen trade and investment relations, adding that the government is making consistent efforts to create a business-friendly environment and facilitate foreign investment.\n\nHighlighting economic challenges, the prime minister noted that Pakistan is actively working towards economic stabilization despite regional pressures, including rising oil prices linked to the Middle East situation. He reaffirmed the government’s resolve to continue reforms aimed at sustainable growth.\n\nThe prime minister also referred to his recent interactions with European Council leadership, where regional security and bilateral cooperation were discussed in detail.\n\nMembers of the EU delegation appreciated the government’s support in organizing the business forum and acknowledged the potential for expanding business-to-business cooperation in sectors such as energy, information technology, and communications. More than 600 B2B meetings are expected to take place alongside the forum.\n\nSenior Pakistani officials, including members of the federal cabinet and key advisors, were also present during the meeting.\n\nThe post PM assures EU investors of economic stability and reform continuity appeared first on HUM News English.",
