"textContent": "ISLAMABAD: Pakistani scientist Nousheen Zaidi has become the first from the country to receive Germany’s prestigious Georg Forster Research Award.\n\nDr Nousheen Zaidi is a Pakistani scientist and academic known for her work in biochemistry, cancer research, and public health.\n\nShe is a professor at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, where she also leads research initiatives including cancer-related studies.\n\nAccording to the German embassy in Islamabad she completed her PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Tübingen in Germany and has worked as a visiting or affiliated researcher in Germany and the United States.\n\nHer research focuses on cancer cell metabolism, lipid and energy processes in cancer, water quality, environmental health, and public health awareness in Pakistan.\n\nRecently, she gained international recognition by receiving the Georg Forster Research Award from Germany, becoming the first Pakistani scientist to earn this honor.\n\nThe post Nousheen becomes the first citizen to receive Germany’s prestigious Georg Forster Research Award appeared first on HUM News English.",
