  "textContent": "The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Pakistan’s National Highway Authority (NHA) signed an agreement on Thursday to develop two sections of the M6 motorway.\n\nThe ADB–NHA project will cover a 120-kilometre, six-lane motorway starting from Hyderabad, featuring modern tolling systems, traffic management, and road safety infrastructure.\n\nThe Hyderabad–Sukkur Motorway will be constructed under a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) model, according to an official statement.\n\nDuring the ceremony, ADB Country Director for Pakistan Emma Fan and NHA Member PPP Ijaz Ahmed signed the agreement. The signing was also attended by senior officials from both the ADB and NHA.\n\nAccording to sources, the project will help connect missing links in Pakistan’s north–south high-speed road network, improve logistics, reduce travel time, and strengthen trade flows across the country.\n\nThe ADB will provide advisory support, including project feasibility studies and the development of a bankable PPP structure with transparent procurement processes.\n\nThe initiative is also expected to attract private sector participation to achieve commercial and financial closure.
