  "textContent": "ISLAMABAD: PML-N President and Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday emphasised the importance of infrastructure development and tourism promotion in Gilgit-Baltistan, saying both sectors are key to the region’s long-term progress.\n\nAddressing the Gilgit-Baltistan Parliamentary Board meeting, he said PML-N has consistently worked for the welfare of the region, adding that no one understands Gilgit-Baltistan better than his party. He stressed that development projects, particularly road infrastructure, are not a favour but a basic necessity for the people.\n\nNawaz Sharif stressed that PM Shehbaz is giving special attention to the uplift of Gilgit-Baltistan, noting that his commitment to the region reflects his own vision.\n\nReferring to ongoing projects, he said a road project worth over Rs60 billion has significantly reduced distances across the region, improving connectivity and boosting economic activity.
