  "textContent": "WEB DESK: Two personnel of the Federal Constabulary (FC) were martyred after unidentified militants opened fire on them in Bannu’s Kuram Garhi area on Sunday, while a separate overnight blast destroyed a vacant police post, officials said.\n\nAccording to police, the two FC men were shopping in a local market within the jurisdiction of Cantt police station when assailants riding a motorcycle targeted them before fleeing the scene.\n\nFC sources identified the deceased as Havaldar Rokhniyaz and Sepoy Rehmanullah, both serving in the FC Daryoba MI platoon.\n\n## Search operation underway\n\nSecurity forces and police personnel swiftly cordoned off the area following the attack and launched a search operation to trace those responsible.\n\nOfficials said additional police contingents had been deployed, adding that all available resources were being utilised to arrest the attackers at the earliest opportunity.\n\n## Vacant police post destroyed in blast\n\nIn a separate incident late on Saturday night, militants reportedly blew up the Shamuzai police post, located within the limits of Township police station, using explosives.\n\nSources said the powerful blast levelled the building, which had remained vacant since 2022.
