This defence cooperation remains an important pillar of the bilateral relationship.\n\nEconomic and people-to-people ties further strengthen the bond. Around 1.6 million Pakistanis live and work in the UAE, making it one of the largest expatriate communities in the country. Their contributions have been vital to the UAE’s growth, particularly in infrastructure, construction, and services, while also serving as a bridge between the two nations.\n\nThe relationship is also reinforced by shared cultural and religious values, with frequent exchanges and strong social connections. In 2024, both countries signed major agreements worth over $3 billion, focusing on infrastructure, logistics, and trade facilitation.
