  "textContent": "ISLAMABAD: Weekly inflation in Pakistan rose by 1.01 per cent, pushing the annual rate to 9.12 per cent, data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) showed on Friday.\n\nThe bureau said prices of 15 essential items increased during the week, while nine items became cheaper.\n\nThe cost of a domestic liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder rose by Rs600, from Rs4,500 to Rs5,100, the data showed.\n\nEgg prices increased by more than Rs5 per dozen, while chicken rose by Rs9.30 per kilogram. Mutton prices climbed by Rs34.47 per kilogram during the week.\n\nFresh milk became more expensive by more than Rs1.5 per kilogram, while prices of pulses including masoor, mash and moong also increased.\n\nOther items that saw price increases included jaggery, chickpeas and beef.\n\nOn the other hand, some food items became cheaper. Tomato prices fell by Rs5.17 per kilogram, while garlic declined by Rs17.36 per kilogram.
