  "textContent": "ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad International Airport has launched 5G services, making it the first airport in the country to offer next-generation mobile connectivity, Pakistan Airports Authority.\n\nThe service has been introduced in collaboration with private cellular operator Zong under an initiative led by the authority’s commercial wing.\n\nPassengers at the airport will now have access to ultra-fast internet speeds and enhanced digital services, improving connectivity and overall travel experience, PAA officials said, adding that travellers are already benefiting from the facility.\n\nPakistan recently moved to roll out 5G services after telecom operators were awarded spectrum licences, with companies including Zong launching commercial services in major cities such as Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore\n\nZong has said it plans to expand its 5G footprint nationwide with more than 1,000 sites in 2026, positioning the technology as a key driver of faster speeds, low latency and digital innovation across sectors.\n\nThe post Islamabad airport launches 5G services in first for Pakistan appeared first on HUM News.",
