"textContent": "Shamyl Hussain and Hassan Nawaz played steady innings to guide Quetta Gladiators to a competitive 174-8 against Hyderabad Kingsmen in their second PSL 11 match at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.\n\nBatting first, Quetta got off to a decent start as openers, skipper Saud and Shamyl, added quick runs. But Hyderabad’s Riley Meredith struck early, removing Saud on the last ball of the second over after he had scored a run-a-ball four, leaving Quetta at 21-1.\n\nMeredith struck again in the fourth over, dismissing Rilee Rossouw for a duck, putting Quetta under pressure.\n\nHowever, Shamyl Hussain and Hassan Nawaz steadied the innings with a crucial 50-run partnership, helping Quetta recover. Shamyl was in top form, scoring 54 off 41 balls, including three fours and three sixes, before Meredith broke the stand.\n\nHassan continued to anchor the innings, reaching his fourth PSL fifty, with Khawaja Nafay joining him at the crease. Hyderabad’s Maheesh Theekshana then turned the game around a bit in the 15th over, taking two quick wickets by dismissing Nafay for six and Ben McDermott for a duck.\n\nIn the final overs, Tom Curran hit boundaries to take Quetta past the 150-run mark. Akif Javed finished the innings with two wickets, sending Curran back for 31 off 18 balls and Alzarri Joseph for a duck.\n\nAbrar Ahmed stayed unbeaten on nine off three balls, hitting back-to-back fours, while Ahmed Daniyal added six off eight, helping Quetta reach a competitive 174-8 against Hyderabad Kingsmen.\n\nThe post PSL 11: Shamyl, Hasan lead Quetta Gladiators vs Hyderabad Kingsmen to 174-8 appeared first on HUM News.",
