The TSA wait times continuing for several hours, they say, is only because of the bag-checks and security-clear.\n\nAs delays take more time, more travelers are turning to biometric identity service on CLEAR that’s bypassing standard TSA ID checks at around 60 airports.\n\nOne passenger whose flight is on the said airport described the situation as a \"horrible\" experience, saying there were no clear answers and large crowds, including families and people in wheelchairs.\n\nWaiting times at most Florida airports continue to be better than what passengers have seen across the US, citizens believe.\n\nNearly 450 workers of the Transportation Security Administration have quit their jobs during a partial government shutdown in mid February. The reminaining officials are not being paid.\n\nOn Thursday, the lines at the Atlanta International Airport fluctuated throughout the morning, with standard security lanes easing at times while TSA PreCheck lines stretched outside the terminal.\n\nSome airports are also changing how they're communicating with travelers, suspending wait-time reporting on their websites for TSA, and instead displaying catch-all messages that warn travelers of long lines.\n\nThe TSA's Screening Partnership Program uses private companies for security screening at three Florida airports.
