"textContent": "ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDA) has forecast thunderstorms, heavy winds, and rain in various parts of the country from March 17 to 25.\n\nAccording to the NDMA’s National Emergencies Operations Centre, a new system of western winds will affect northern and western regions from March 17.\n\nIn upper and central Punjab, rain and gusty winds are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Jhelum, Chakwal, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Lahore, and surrounding areas.\n\nSome locations may also see thunderstorms and hail.\n\nSouthern Punjab districts, including Multan, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, and Dera Ghazi Khan, are also likely to experience rainfall.\n\nAccording to the NDMA, most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may witness intermittent heavy winds and thunderstorms during the period.\n\nIt said that rain and thunderstorms are expected, with snow in hilly areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.\n\nThe NDMA said that Balochistan is expected to experience intermittent storms, strong winds, and rain from March 17 to 23.\n\nIn Sindh, weather is expected to remain mostly dry, though scattered rainfall may occur in Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dadu, Karachi, and Hyderabad.\n\nThe NDMA has urged all provincial and district authorities to remain on alert and take precautionary measures.\n\nPeople have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and follow safety guidelines during storms and thunderstorms.\n\nThe public can follow the latest weather updates via the NDMA’s official social media channels and the Pakistan NDMA Disaster Alert mobile app.\n\nThe post NDMA forecasts rain and thunderstorms across Pakistan appeared first on HUM News.",
