"textContent": "MIRPUR, Bangladesh: Pakistan rode on an explosive knock from Saim Ayub and a composed half-century by Salman Agha to post 274 before being bowled out in 47 overs, setting Bangladesh a target of 275 in the second ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.\n\nAfter winning the toss, Bangladesh opted to field first under overcast skies, hoping early movement would trouble the visitors. But Pakistan’s opening pair of Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub had other plans, putting together a brisk 103-run stand that laid the platform for a competitive total.\n\nThe young Saim Ayub lit up Mirpur with a blazing innings, smashing 75 off just 46 balls, laced with six fours and five towering sixes. His aggressive strokeplay kept Bangladesh on the back foot before he was dismissed with Pakistan well placed.\n\nFakhar Zaman followed soon after, departing for 31 with the score at 121, but Pakistan kept the momentum going through a steady partnership between Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Agha. The duo stitched together another vital stand to take Pakistan to 231.\n\nSalman Agha played the anchor role brilliantly, scoring 64, while Rizwan contributed a fluent 44 before both batters were dismissed in quick succession.\n\nPakistan then lost wickets in a cluster, with none of the remaining batters able to convert their starts. The innings eventually folded at 274 in 47 overs.\n\nhttps://twitter.com/TheRealPCB/status/2032365816537366563?s=20\n\nFor Bangladesh, Rashid Hossain was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz chipped in with two.\n\nEarlier, Bangladesh captain confirmed that the hosts were unchanged for the match. Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi said the batters were aware of their shortcomings and revealed one change in the side, with Haris Rauf replacing Abrar Ahmed.\n\nAlthough the skies remained cloudy in Mirpur, there was no immediate threat of rain as Bangladesh prepared to chase 275 to level the series.\n\nThe post Pakistan set Bangladesh 275 after Saim Ayub’s fireworks in second ODI appeared first on HUM News.",
