  "textContent": "ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday congratulated Mojtaba Khamenei on assuming the responsibilities of Supreme Leader of Iran, while conveying Pakistan’s condolences to the Iranian people following the martyrdom of Ali Khamenei.\n\nIn a message, the prime minister extended his heartfelt condolences and prayers on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan to the brotherly people of Iran and the wider Muslim Ummah.\n\nShehbaz Sharif said the people of Pakistan were deeply saddened by the martyrdom of Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei and expressed solidarity with Iran during this difficult time.\n\nThe prime minister expressed confidence that Mojtaba Khamenei’s leadership would guide Iran towards peace, stability and prosperity in the years ahead.\n\nHe also highlighted the longstanding relations between Pakistan and Iran, noting that the two countries share deep-rooted ties based on common faith, history, culture and language.\n\nReaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, the prime minister said Islamabad would continue working closely with Tehran to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.\n\nHe also prayed for the success of Mojtaba Khamenei and for lasting peace and prosperity for the people of Iran.\n\nThe post PM Shehbaz congratulates Mojtaba Khamenei, conveys Pakistan’s condolences to Iranian people appeared first on HUM News.",
