NEW DELHI: West Indies posted a competitive 195-4 in the WI vs IND T20 clash tonight in India, riding on a collective batting effort led by Roston Chase’s top score of 40 off 25. Despite getting starts across the lineup, the hosts couldn’t quite find the late surge needed to push beyond the 200-mark.

Shai Hope set the tone early in WI vs IND with a fluent 33 off 33, anchoring the innings alongside Brandon King. The pair ensured stability in the powerplay, but India kept things tight enough to avoid early damage.

Shimron Hetmyer added a 12-ball 27 in WI vs IND, providing the much-needed push with a strike rate above 200. However, his cameo was short-lived, and India quickly regained control through disciplined bowling at the death.

Late contributions from Sherfane Rutherford (14 off 9) and Rovman Powell (34 off 19) helped West Indies finish strongly in WI vs IND, but the lack of a dominant 60+ score meant the innings never fully broke free. Jason Holder’s unbeaten 37 off 22 ensured a solid finish, lifting the total to 195.

For India in WI vs IND, the bowling effort was steady rather than spectacular. While wickets were shared, the bowlers managed to prevent a final over onslaught, keeping the target within reach.

Chasing 196 in WI vs IND, India will feel confident given the batting-friendly conditions, but West Indies’ total remains competitive enough to keep the contest finely balanced.
