"textContent": "A former background actress on _Grey’s Anatomy_ is drawing fresh attention online after alleging late actor Eric Dane mistreated her on set and claiming she played a role in his exit from the hit medical drama.\n\nLaura Ann Tull made the remarks on Threads under a post about Dane’s death, writing that the actor “was a bully and an a-hole”, prompting swift pushback from other users.\n\nIn follow-up posts, Tull doubled down on the accusations, alleging Dane mocked and bullied her during the three years she says she worked as an extra on the show.\n\n“He was a coward who abused me. Bullied me. Made fun of me,” she wrote in one reply. In another, she added: “He just died. I only wish he’d apologized & admitted what he did.”\n\nTull also suggested she influenced Dane’s departure from the long-running ABC series, writing, “I am why he was fired from Grey’s”, and claiming she had contacted production before his exit. She did not provide evidence to support that assertion.\n\nElsewhere in the thread, she accused Dane of interfering with her ability to find work and claimed the experience had long-term consequences for her career. “His dying doesn’t change [the] destruction he caused me,” she wrote, adding she had once intended to pursue legal action.\n\nTull previously shared similar claims in a 2018 Medium post about her experiences in Hollywood. In that essay, she said she never spoke directly with Dane on set but believed he had spoken negatively about her to others.\n\n“I worked on set of Grey’s Anatomy for three years as an extra, but I never spoke to Dane once directly,” she wrote. “But I did hear him talk about me.”\n\nShe also said she had been labelled “weird” through a third party and felt pushed out of the industry.\n\nThere is no public record supporting Tull’s claim that she influenced Dane’s departure from _Grey’s Anatomy_. According to _The Hollywood Reporter_ , the actor’s 2012 exit was driven primarily by budget and creative decisions as long-running cast members became more expensive for the network.\n\nDane had also acknowledged dealing with personal struggles, including prescription medication issues, but said these were not the main reason for his departure.\n\nThe actor rose to fame as Dr Mark Sloan, nicknamed “McSteamy”, before later starring in HBO’s _Euphoria_. He died on February 19 at the age of 53, nearly a year after revealing he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.\n\nIn the months before his death, Dane became an advocate for ALS awareness, speaking publicly about living with the progressive neurodegenerative disease.\n\nHis family later said he died “following a courageous battle with ALS”, surrounded by loved ones.\n\nThe post ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ extra alleges bullying by late Eric Dane, claims role in his exit appeared first on HUM News.",
