AHEMADABAD: New Zealand team are facing pressure at the crease as the Proteas didn't allow the top-notch batters of their team leave impressive performances at the crease for their team in the SA VS NZ clash. The New Zealand team were earlier asked to bat first after South Africa won the toss in the 24th clash of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup clash tonight here. New Zealand began their innings in weak flow as their top order was brought under a pile of pressure. Both the top order batters and Tim Seifert and Finn Allen were crushed. Seifert managed only 13 off 9 balls while Allen bore some hopes for the forthcoming batters, scoring 31 off 17 balls. The spills delivered by the SA bowlers also targeted their middle, after the NZ lost their key batters in the top order. Miller Jansen, and Maharaj each targeted the middle of the opponents. Each picked up Rachin Ravindra and Glenn Phillips, respectively, with the first one only managed 13 while Phillips jerked the innings for a digit before both the batters were crushed. Proteas may face the same in the next overs; the NZ are still trying to put a massive total against their rivals, South Africa. Both teams include the best pick-up in the playing XI, as NZ and SA faced off today. Falling in Group D, both NZ and SA continue their winning starts, each securing two victories from as many matches. New Zealand leads the group on NRR, with a +1.919 advantage, while the Proteas are standing close behind at +1.425. Each team also have with them 4 points each, keeping their hopes alive for a top finish in the group stage. With both sides unbeaten so far, their upcoming matches are expected to be crucial in determining who will advance to the knockout stages. NZ were standing at 136-4 when this story was reported tonight. [HUM News] The post SA VS NZ: Proteas choose to bowl, opponents’ Finn Allen falls for 31 appeared first on HUM News.
