"textContent": "Actor Noel Clarke has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape, exposure and sexual assault, according to police.\n\nThe 50-year-old was questioned by detectives on Tuesday and has been released on bail pending further enquiries, the Metropolitan Police said.\n\nOfficers said the arrest relates to an alleged sexual offence reported to have taken place in London in 2007 involving a woman in her 20s.\n\nIn a statement, a Met spokesperson said a man in his 50s was arrested on Tuesday, February 10, on suspicion of attempted rape, exposure and sexual assault. He was interviewed by detectives and bailed while investigations continue.\n\nPolice added that the man was also interviewed in relation to a separate voyeurism allegation, for which he was previously arrested in September 2025. That allegation relates to an incident said to have occurred in 2013 at a London address, also involving a woman in her 20s.\n\nAccording to reports, Clarke attended Islington police station by appointment, accompanied by his wife and a lawyer.\n\nThe Metropolitan Police said the investigation remains ongoing. No charges have been brought at this stage.\n\nClarke is best known for playing Mickey Smith in _Doctor Who_ between 2005 and 2010 and later found success as an actor, writer, producer and director.\n\nHis screen career stalled in 2021 after _The Guardian_ published allegations of sexual misconduct by multiple women who had worked with him, which Clarke denied.\n\nIn August last year, Clarke lost a libel case he brought against the newspaper’s publisher. A High Court judge later ruled that he must pay at least £3 million in legal costs, with total costs estimated to be significantly higher.\n\nThe post ‘Doctor Who’ star Noel Clarke arrested on suspicion of attempted sexual assault appeared first on HUM News.",
