"textContent": "WEB DESK: Pakistan’s security forces have killed 216 terrorists, including 41 linked to Indian proxy networks, during a series of coordinated intelligence-based operations (IBOs) carried out across Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.\n\nAccording to ISPR, the operations were launched on January 29, 2026, in the outskirts of Panjgur and Harnai following confirmed intelligence reports about the presence of terrorist elements operating with external backing. These groups were reportedly involved in targeting civilians, including women and children, with the aim of undermining peace and development in the province.\n\nThe military’s media wing said security forces carried out swift, well-coordinated and aggressive actions, striking terrorist hideouts and dismantling networks operating under Indian patronage. During the initial phase of the operation, 41 terrorists affiliated with Indian proxy groups were killed.\n\nISPR said the effective response by security forces foiled the “nefarious designs” of what it termed _Fitna-e-Hindustan_ , aimed at destabilising peace in Balochistan. Following the initial engagements, combing and clearance operations were conducted in multiple areas to eliminate terrorist sleeper cells.\n\nAs a result of joint and meticulously planned operations, the total number of terrorists killed rose to 216, ISPR stated. The operations significantly degraded the terrorists’ leadership, command-and-control structures and operational capabilities.\n\nDuring the actions, security forces also recovered a large cache of foreign-manufactured weapons, ammunition, explosives and other equipment. Preliminary assessments have revealed evidence of external assistance and logistical support provided to the terrorist networks, the statement said.\n\nHowever, ISPR confirmed that 36 innocent civilians, including women and children, were martyred during the course of the operations. In addition, 22 security personnel laid down their lives while defending the country and protecting civilians.\n\n“The nation pays tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs and stands in solidarity with their families,” ISPR said.\n\nReaffirming its commitment under the National Action Plan, the Pakistan Armed Forces reiterated their resolve to eliminate terrorism in all its forms. ISPR said counterterrorism operations will continue with full force until the complete eradication of terrorism.\n\nThe statement added that Operation _Radd-ul-Fitna_ One reflects the collective determination of the people of Balochistan and Pakistan to uphold peace, unity and progress.\n\nThe post Balochistan operations deal major blow to militant command structures: ISPR appeared first on HUM News.",
