  "textContent": "On the morning of April 9, 2026, a fire broke out in the main warehouse of Randolph, a Canadian games publisher headquartered in Montréal, Québec. In its initial report that day about the fire, the company reported that:\n\n> The cause of the fire is not yet known. The rapid response of the emergency services brought the situation under control quickly. No injuries are reported, and the building was evacuated as a precautionary measure at the earliest moments. There was no structural damage to the building.\n\nOn April 20, I checked in with Director of Studio Joël Gagnon, who is one of the four founders of Randolph, and he told me that the company's main office had to be evacuated due to the smoke and still awaits cleaning at this point so that it can be re-occupied. Additionally, \"The current state of our inventory is under review by the insurance company. A large part has been destroyed by fire and water, and the rest might be compromised by humidity and smoke.\"\n\nRandolph has a second warehouse in the United States, so retailers in that country will not encounter delays on its orders, which is not the case for Canadian retailers since Randolph is now operating from a temporary warehouse to ship new games of its own, along with games from publishing partners.\n\nRandolph also runs eight gaming pubs in Québec, and those are all fully operational should you wish to show support for the company while having a nice evening out drinking and playing games.\n\n• • • • • • • • • • • • • •\n\nLike what you read?
