The whirlwind of change at Lidl-Trek continues, with new wrinkles in the story coming out of an all-staff meeting that took place Tuesday evening European time. That meeting was the setting for yet another major announcement: Andy Schleck is in as the new team CEO.

Updated, June 2: Lidl-Trek formally announced a raft of changes Tuesday evening, all of which will take effect after the Tour de France, including the elevation of Andy Schleck to the role of CEO, the exit of Luca Guercilena, and the arrival of Dan Lorang from Redbull-Bora Hansgrohe as the Lidl-Trek's new Head of Performance.

Sources close to the team indicate that Thomas Rohregger will exit his role as the Head of Cycling at the team following the Tour de France, though that was not confirmed by the team's press release.

Rohregger has largely led the Lidl-ization of the team since the grocery chain took over majority ownership from Trek in October 2025.

The latest moves have been percolating behind the scenes for some time after Schleck came aboard at the end of last year, but on Tuesday, Escape Collective learned that Schleck's old teammate Rohregger will no longer operate as the key link between the Lidl supermarket chain and the bike racing team in which it now owns a majority stake.
