Vingegaard: 'I don't see myself racing until I'm 35'

As he prepares for one last week of racing at the Giro d'Italia, Jonas Vingegaard fielded questions about his plans for the future at a rest day press conference. Although not yet 30, Vingegaard gave some insight about his mindset on the topic of eventually calling it a career. "As I said before, at the moment I’m just taking it year by year," Vingegaard said. "But this is my eighth year as a pro and I don’t see myself racing until I’m 35. I turn 30 in December, so I don’t have that many years left. But as long as I enjoy it, I will keep racing."
