No Tour de France for Laporte after training crash results in muscle tear

Christophe Laporte will miss the upcoming Tour de France after a crash in training left him with a torn quadriceps. “This is obviously a huge disappointment," Laporte said in a Visma-Lease a Bike press release. "I had a strong spring season and was ready to start preparing for the Tour de France. Naturally, I was really looking forward to the upcoming races, and especially the Tour. At this moment, the focus is entirely on my recovery so that I can return as soon as possible."
