Spanish component manufacturer Rotor Componentes is in trouble, with court documents and reporting by Spanish financial outlets __ El Confidencial and __ Palco23__ exposing a restructuring crisis and debt in excess of €10 million.

According to court documents seen by Escape Collective , Rotor's latest restructuring plan was approved on 9 December 2025, when Rotor declared itself in insolvency. When asked about its situation, Rotor has been reluctant to share any further information.

In response to questions from Escape , the company said in a single line that information about its situation "has not been released by Rotor" and that "commercial operations with third parties remain guaranteed and stable." Wheeltop, the Chinese drivetrain brand that acquired Rotor during its pre-insolvency proceedings in late 2024, did not respond to a request for comment, either. However, things don't seem stable.
