Aussie GC hope Talia Appleton promoted to Liv AlUla Jayco WorldTour squad

Up-and-coming Aussie climber Talia Appleton has been promoted from the Liv AlUla Jayco Continental team to its WorldTour outfit with immediate effect. The 20-year-old joined the GreenEdge development team at the start of this year after a strong 2025 that included third overall at the Tour de l'Avenir Femmes. After "showing a strong level with consistently high performances" since January, the Victorian will join the WorldTour squad right away, racing the Navarra Women's Classic on Wednesday before Itzulia Women which starts on Friday. "Looking back at how much I have already learnt this season makes me really excited to continue developing with this team and contribute to its success," Appleton said.
