Stefan Küng passed a first milestone in his recovery from a fractured femur suffered at last weekend's Omloop Nieuwsblad. The Swiss TT and Classics specialist was discharged from the hospital after undergoing surgery Monday to repair the bone, according to a report from his Tudor team. Küng can begin light training inside in three to four weeks if his recovery goes smoothly, but full training is around three months off, so the team has not yet set a target date for a return to competition. That's an ambitious schedule. The femur is the largest bone in the body, and healing typically takes 3–6 months.
