  "textContent": "Con Chronis\n\nIt’s no secret that road racing in Australia has long existed on shaky ground. That’s true at the highest level of competition, the _ProVelo Super League_ (previously the National Road Series), where races are getting more expensive to run, sponsors are increasingly difficult to come by – _even for the best teams in the country_ – and where the very existence of a national competition is a _year-by-year prospect_.\n\nBut it’s also true at the grassroots level.
