Two spectators dead and six injured after driver veers off road at Tour du Rwanda

The eight-stage Tour du Rwanda began on Sunday, but before stage 1 was over, there was a horrible crash involving a driver within the race caravan that killed two spectators and left several others injured. "The Management of the Tour du Rwanda regrets to inform the public of an accident that occurred during stage 1 in the Gabiro area, where a caravan vehicle veered off the road and hit several spectators," reads the press release. "Sadly, two people lost their lives and six others were injured. The injured are receiving care, and we are closely following their condition. "The Rwanda National Police has launched investigations into the cause."
