"plaintext": "Tổn là hao tổn. Chữ Tổn theo Từ nguyên, một bên có chữ thủ là tay, một bên có chữ viên là tròn; cái gì đã viên mãn mà động tới, mà tiêu dùng, ắt sẽ hao tổn. Nhưng quẻ Tổn đây không có nghiã là hao tổn không, mà còn có nghĩa quan hệ khác nữa, đó là Tổn hạ, ích thượng; làm hao tổn dưới, mà có ích cho trên. Trong xã hội, ai là dưới? đó là dân. Ai là trên? đó là những người cầm quyền. Dân là gốc, là nền móng quốc gia; bới gốc, xới nền, để bù đắp cho ngọn, là một công việc tối ư nguy hiểm, nếu không biết cách mà hành động cho hay, cho khéo, thời quốc gia, xã hội sẽ lung lay, suy sụp. Quẻ Tổn cốt ý dạy ta phương cách tổn dân, mà không làm hại cho dân, mà không làm hại cho nền an ninh của quốc gia, xã hội."
