[Pre-RFC] target-glibc: Proposal to add native support for GLIBC versions for the -gnu targets

I thought you were proposing a compiler feature that would eliminate the need for application developers to write that kind of "workaround". Am I mistaken? If so, please clarify what your feature is meant to do.
