PRESS RELEASE: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PAPUNYA, NT — May 20, 2026 —

The Final Inspector Adam Gjelstad Cover Now Available

The End Of The Line, now available in all good bookminds, brings to a close the Inspector Gjelstad pretend novel cover series.

Every hit book series ends and we wave goodbye to characters we have come to know and love, and so it is with the best selling Inspector Gjelstad novels as we deliver the most exciting, mysterious, and humorous conclusion cover.

Viewers the world over have thoroughly enjoyed the series and to them we leave you with this review from the real-life Adam pertaining to this explosive final cover.

Well that's rather ominous, good review 👏

It looks like I'm undercover as a rent boy in 90s Amsterdam 😂

We welcome back angler, man-about-town, and professional golfer, Paul Thompson, to deliver the final Inspector Adam Gjelstad novel, The End Of The Line. The original Inspect Gjelstad novel, Downtown Murder , was initially to be written by Thompson however, despite many calls from the publisher and the now infamous public clamouring from his eager fanbase, no manuscript was ever delivered. We thank Riversdale for stepping up at such short notice and producing the award-winning series of novels.

As we farewell Inspector Adam Gjelstad and, of course his faithful companion KK van den Boogardt, let's take a nostalgic look back at the 7 preceding novels and their pretend covers.

About Us

Riversdale Creative Publishing has been at the forefront of fake / pretend book covers since our esteemed founder, Mike Riversdale, was bored one Sunday afternoon and decided to crack it into. We are proud that our artisan creators continue to publish pretend book covers and will do until Sir Riversdale gets bored again and moves on to something else.
