Despite what you may have been told, it is not silent in the outback, ohhhh no.
Apparently if one speaks with a quiet voice it may been seen as whispering behind other's backs. You use your voice to talk at volume so that everyone around hears what you're saying and no-one can complain.
Apparently, I don't know if that's true but I do know it's a vocally voluminous time of things out here 🗯️
I even think my own voice is starting to get louder so be aware when I visit, you may find I'm SHOUTING AT YOU WITHOUT REALISING IT.
