Johann Zarco's Recovery Proceeding Positively, Could Race In September
Johann Zarco is recovering well from the injuries sustained in the horrific Turn 1 crash in Barcelona in the middle of May. The LCR Honda team today provided an update on his injury and his recovery progress. The injury to his left knee is not as serious as feared, and he hopes to be able to return to racing in September.
Initially, doctors had feared that Zarco had torn multiple ligaments in his knee and would require surgery to reattach them. The doctors could not perform surgery until the swelling in his knee subsided and the severe burns which he had on his knee had healed.
