Not this Friday though. At lunchtime on Friday, at Balaton Park, we received the news that Adrian Fernandez had been disqualified from the first six rounds of the 2026 Moto3 championship. His crime? Well, none actually, but the seals on the engines tested after the first four rounds, and then again after Mugello, were found to have been tampered with, a breach of the Moto3 engine durability regulations.\n\nThe word bombshell tends to be bandied about freely in MotoGP - no, Marc Márquez not making it straight through to Q2 does not qualify as a bombshell - but I think it is safe to use the word bombshell here.
