Leopard Racing Punished For Tampering With Moto3 Engines - Adrian Fernandez Disqualified From First Six Rounds
Adrian Fernandez has been disqualified from the first six rounds of the Moto3 world championship of 2026. After Mugello, the Leopard Racing rider was third in the championship, but with the 77 points he scored in the first six rounds removed, he is now left with just 13 points, which drops him to 20th.
The reason for the disqualification is that when the engines were inspected by Honda and by the FIM Technical Inspectors and IRTA, the engine seals were found to have been tampered with. The lockwiring of the seals looked different to the way the FIM scrutineers do it, and when inspected, the plastic sticker seals used to seal the engines were found to have been tampered with.
